About the Role
As an Information Security Analyst at Edwards Lifesciences, you will play a key role in protecting the organization's applications, systems, and products. The position focuses on SIEM operations, log management, data engineering, and forensic support. Candidates with hands-on experience in data source onboarding, parser development, and log normalization will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting SIEM data engineering operations and maintaining log ingestion pipelines.
- Managing log collection from cloud, on-premises, and SaaS environments.
- Developing field extraction rules, parsers, and normalization logic using Regex, Grok, CEF/LEEF, OCSF, and ECS.
- Configuring connectors and onboarding new security data sources.
- Monitoring data quality, consistency, and completeness for better threat detection.
- Applying log filtering, routing, and optimization techniques to improve SIEM performance.
- Maintaining documentation related to data sources and normalization coverage.
- Troubleshooting data ingestion and parsing issues while coordinating with senior SIEM engineers.
- Keeping up to date with emerging log formats and security technologies to strengthen the organization's security posture.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Google SecOps, Splunk, QRadar, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of security data pipeline solutions like Cribl, BindPlane, and Databahn (preferred).
- Experience with parser creation, data formatting, and log normalization.
- Familiarity with log forwarding technologies including rsyslog, syslog-ng, Fluentd, Fluent Bit, and NXLog.
- Basic understanding of forensic operations and scripting (preferred).
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CEH, CISM, or CISSP will be an added advantage.

- Strong understanding of SIEM concepts and log source management.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of security monitoring and threat detection.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
